FACELESS.VIDEO PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: 10/03/2026
1. Introduction and Your Acceptance
This privacy policy explains what information Faceless.video ("we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. Faceless.video is a SaaS content creation tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate and publish video content for faceless channels. This policy applies to all users of our application, website, and Faceless.video plugin for ChatGPT, Codex, and other connected AI assistants. By using our service, you consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Who We Are
Faceless.video is operated by Faceless.video LLC. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at privacy@faceless.video.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
3.1. Account information. Your email address, your password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider, never in plain text), your timezone, and your email marketing preference. If you sign up with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
3.2. Content you provide. The stories, prompts, topics, series configuration, and any other material you enter in order to generate videos, together with the scripts, images, voiceovers and finished videos our service generates from that material.
3.3. Connected social account information. When you connect a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram account, we store the access and refresh tokens issued by that platform, your platform account identifier, and basic display information about the account such as its name and avatar. Tokens are held encrypted. Where you enable performance tracking, we also collect view and engagement statistics for videos we published on your behalf.
3.4. Billing information. Your subscription plan, billing interval, subscription status, credit balance, and the customer and subscription identifiers issued by our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number, expiry date or security code — those are collected directly by our payment processor.
3.5. Usage and device information. Through our product analytics provider we collect the pages and features you use, actions you take in the app, your browser and device type, and your IP address (from which an approximate location may be derived). Once you have an account, this activity is associated with your user identifier and email address.
3.6. Anti-abuse information. To prevent fraudulent signups and abuse of free credits, we use a bot-detection challenge at signup and an email verification service. These services process your IP address and email address. We also derive a coarse country code from your signup request to determine which free-trial offer applies. We store the country code and trial-policy decision, not the IP address used to derive it.
3.7. Support correspondence. Messages, attachments and account details you send us through the contact form or by email.
3.8. Information exchanged with ChatGPT and other AI assistants. When you connect Faceless.video to an AI assistant, we receive the tool name and inputs the assistant sends to carry out your request. These can include video, series, connection and social-account selection identifiers; list filters and pagination; prompts, topics, scripts, titles, scene summaries, reference TikTok URLs, subreddit names, and creative concepts; category, niche, language, voice, quality, scene-count and duration choices; series names, schedules, status and delivery choices; and confirmation tokens. Our tools do not request your full conversation history. Text or personal information you include in a tool input is received as part of that input.
We also process your Faceless.video user identifier, the assistant's identifier, permissions, access level, authorisation expiry and session information to authenticate the connection and restrict access to your account. Sign-in and social-platform authorisation take place in the browser; do not enter passwords, API keys, payment-card details or social-platform access tokens into chat or tool inputs.
Depending on the tool used, we return the following account-related information to the connected assistant provider, including OpenAI when you use ChatGPT or Codex. This applies to both readable text and structured results, including fields inside nested objects and lists:
- Account and entitlement information: usable paid and trial credits, trial expiry, plan identifier, billing interval, subscription status, whether the subscription is active, the number of active series, and a dashboard link. These are returned by the account tool to explain available features and credits; tool results do not include card details or payment-processor customer identifiers.
- Connected social accounts: a Faceless.video account-selection identifier, platform, display name (which may be a channel name, username or handle), connection status and connection date. These may appear in account results, series delivery settings and account-selection choices. Social connection results also include a connection-request identifier, status, expiry, instructions and a temporary browser link and connection code. Provider access and refresh tokens and raw social-profile records are not returned as tool results.
- Videos and drafts: video identifiers, titles, status, credit cost, associated series identifier and title, content category and niche, creation and update dates, scheduled and actual posting dates, render quality and progress, and the video availability period. Nested draft data can include narration scripts, topics, indexed scene summaries and which fields can be edited. Results also include viewing, result-page and finished-video URLs when available. Those links and the content they expose are shared with the assistant provider when returned.
- Recurring series: identifiers, titles, category and niche, status, whether automation is enabled, credits per video, delivery method, destination platforms and connected-account details. Nested schedule data includes cadence identifiers and labels, timezone, next run time, and whether the schedule is configured or paused. Updates may return both the current and proposed settings; creation results may also identify the first video.
- Quotes and confirmations: configuration summaries (including excerpts of your prompts, topics, narration or reference URLs and your selected content settings), credit cost, available balance, funding source (paid, trial or business), estimated monthly credits for recurring series, expiry and a confirmation data containing your Faceless.video user and request identifiers, action type, cost, expiry and security verification information. We use this account-linked data to match your approval to the requested action and prevent duplicate or changed requests.
- Status and error information: success and found/not-found indicators, workflow stages, pagination, required next actions, error codes and explanatory messages. These may reveal that your account needs migration, lacks credits or an entitlement, has reached a usage limit, or has an expired quote, unavailable video or failed connection. Tool results do not include raw internal records, technical error traces or unrestricted debug data.
3.9. Plugin usage and diagnostic records. We keep account-linked records of tool names, event types and timestamps, request identifiers, action types, credits, security verification data, confirmation status, completion results and failure codes. Social connection records also include the platform, connection-verification data, connected-account identifier and display name, dates and error code. Completion records can contain the nested video or series information described above.
Our product analytics records include your user identifier, event time, application version, tool name, success or failure and execution duration. Creation and social-connection events can also include video or series identifiers, series name, category, niche, preset, source type, credit cost, funding source, schedule, delivery method, platforms, connection outcome and duration category. Server diagnostic logs can contain account, request, video or series identifiers and technical error details. Hosting and authentication services also process network and request information, such as IP addresses, request paths and timestamps, to deliver and secure the connection. These operational records are separate from the tool results sent to the assistant.
You may choose not to provide some of this information, but doing so may prevent certain functions, features or resources from working.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
4.1. Generate, render and deliver the video content you request, including sending your inputs to the AI providers described in section 5.
4.2. Publish content to the social accounts you have connected, at your direction.
4.3. Create and administer your account, process payments, and manage your credit balance and subscription.
4.4. Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
4.5. Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse of free credits, and violations of our Terms of Service.
4.6. Understand how the product is used so we can improve and troubleshoot it.
4.7. Send you service messages, and — where you have opted in — product updates and marketing email. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any such message.
4.8. Legal bases (EEA and UK users). We rely on performance of our contract with you for items 4.1 to 4.4; our legitimate interests in operating and securing a viable service for items 4.5 and 4.6; and your consent for marketing email under item 4.7. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
4.9. Connected-assistant purposes. We use the information in sections 3.8 and 3.9 to authenticate and authorise the assistant, retrieve your requested account and content information, prepare quotes, create and edit drafts, render videos, manage recurring series, and connect or publish to the social destinations you authorise. We use confirmation and usage records to prevent duplicate actions, enforce credit and rate limits, investigate failures and abuse, and provide support. Analytics helps us understand feature use and improve reliability. For EEA and UK users, providing the requested features relies on our contract with you; security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting rely on our legitimate interests, and we obtain consent where required for non-essential analytics. The controls in section 11 apply to this data.
5. Artificial Intelligence Processing
Generating your content requires sharing relevant material with third-party AI and media-processing providers. Depending on the features you use, these providers receive:
- Prompts, topics and content settings to research material and generate scripts, scene descriptions and post captions.
- Script text and voice choices to generate voiceover audio.
- Scene descriptions, reference material and generated media to create images and video content and assemble the finished video.
The material sent to these providers can contain personal information if you include it in your content.
5.1. Training. We do not authorise the providers we use to generate your videos to use your content to train their models. This is separate from how your connected AI assistant handles conversations and tool results, as explained below.
5.2. Provider retention and review. AI providers may retain inputs, outputs and processing logs for limited periods to deliver the service or monitor abuse, including human review under their policies. Retention varies by provider and feature. We do not send your content to any AI provider for any purpose other than fulfilling the generation you requested. Separately, connecting an AI assistant shares tool inputs and results as described in sections 3.8 and 7.2; the assistant provider's own policies and your account settings govern its handling of that information, including any use for model improvement.
5.3. Your responsibility. Because your inputs leave our systems and reach these providers, please do not enter sensitive personal information, confidential material, or personal information about other people into the content fields.
6. Cookies, Analytics and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, to secure the service, and to understand how the product is used. Specifically:
- Essential cookies set by our authentication provider hold your session so you stay logged in. The service will not work without these.
- Analytics cookies and identifiers set by our product analytics provider record the pages and features you use and associate that activity with your account. This data is processed in the United States.
- Security tokens set by our bot-protection provider distinguish genuine users from automated signups.
We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting pixels on the application. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies by modifying your browser settings, though declining them may cause parts of the service not to function as intended.
7. Third Parties We Share Information With
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information with the following categories of service providers, which are contractually bound to use it to provide services to us:
- Hosting, authentication, storage and content-delivery providers process account and sign-in information, content, generated media, requests and diagnostic records to operate and secure the service and deliver your files. This includes providers maintaining records from earlier versions of our service.
- Payment processors process payment details, billing contact information, subscription and transaction records to collect payments and administer billing.
- AI and media-processing providers receive the content and settings described in section 5 to research, generate and assemble your videos.
- Analytics providers receive the account-linked usage, device and plugin activity information described in sections 3.5 and 3.9 to help us understand product use and troubleshoot issues.
- Security and verification providers process network, device and email information to detect automated signups, verify email addresses and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Email and customer-communication providers process email addresses, communication preferences, relevant account information and message content to send service messages, deliver content and send marketing email where you have opted in.
- Referral and affiliate providers process referral identifiers and associated signup or purchase activity to attribute referrals when you arrive through an affiliate link.
- Operational recordkeeping providers process relevant account and service-activity information to help us administer the service and maintain internal records.
- Stock-media providers receive search terms derived from your content to find footage and music. We do not send them your account details for these searches.
Connected social platforms and publishing services. When you authorise publishing, we share your video, captions and destination-account information with the selected platform, such as YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, and the services used to publish content and retrieve performance statistics. The platforms process information under their own privacy policies. Connected AI assistants are described in section 7.2.
We may additionally disclose your information where we are required to do so by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
7.1. YouTube API Services
Faceless.video uses YouTube API Services to enable you to upload and manage video content on YouTube. When you use these features, your use of YouTube is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review Google's privacy practices to understand how your information is handled when using YouTube features through our service.
7.2. Recipients of plugin information. OpenAI receives the tool results described in section 3.8 when you connect through ChatGPT or Codex; another assistant provider receives them if you use its client instead. This is separate from the video-generation processing described in section 5. Assistant providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies, rather than solely as service providers acting for Faceless.video. For OpenAI, see the OpenAI Privacy Policy and the data controls for your OpenAI account.
The service-provider categories in this section also support plugin requests: hosting and authentication providers process connection and request data, storage providers retain account and operational records, and analytics providers receive the activity data described in section 3.9. Content creation and delivery use the applicable AI, media, email and publishing services described above. Personnel handling support or technical failures may review relevant account, content and diagnostic records.
8. International Transfers
We are based in the United States and the providers listed in section 7 process data in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your personal information will be transferred outside your home jurisdiction. Where such transfers occur we rely on the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent approved safeguard, in our agreements with those providers.
9. Data Retention
9.1. We retain your account and series information, and may retain stored content and generated media, while your account remains open. Videos are available through the plugin for 30 days from creation. This availability window is not a guarantee that all underlying content, media, logs or backup copies are erased on day 30.
9.2. Account deletion removes your authentication account, profile, associated series and video database records, connected social account records and stored access tokens, and the plugin records described in section 9.5. We also attempt to remove account-associated uploads from storage. File cleanup can be incomplete, and deleting database records does not guarantee immediate erasure of all generated media, cached files, backups or provider logs. Contact us if you need help with remaining copies. Deleting your account does not by itself withdraw permission at a social platform; revoke our access using the platform's own settings as described in section 11.5.
9.3. Some records survive account deletion where we are legally required to keep them or where they serve a continuing purpose. Specifically: billing and tax records held by our payment processor are retained for the period required by law; historical product analytics events are retained by our analytics provider, and you may ask us to delete these by contacting us; and your email address remains suppressed on our mailing lists so that we do not contact you again.
9.4. Videos you have already published to YouTube, TikTok or Instagram remain on those platforms after deletion. We cannot remove them for you — you will need to delete them using the platform directly.
9.5. Plugin retention. New-action confirmation tokens and social connection links expire after 10 minutes. Expiry prevents a new action or connection with that token; it does not erase the record of the request or a previously completed result. During a subsequent permitted tool call, we delete that user's database usage events older than seven days and creation, render and series-update confirmation records older than 30 days. This cleanup is triggered by activity, so records may remain longer for an inactive account. Social connection-request records have no separate automatic deletion deadline and can remain while the account is open. These account-linked database records are removed on account deletion.
9.6. Logs, analytics and assistant copies. We do not currently set a single fixed retention period for diagnostic logs and product analytics. Retention depends on the provider's configuration and policies and our ongoing support, security and product-analysis needs; the seven-day database cleanup above does not apply to these copies. You can request access or deletion at privacy@faceless.video. Disconnecting the plugin or deleting your Faceless.video account does not delete past chats, tool results or other copies held by OpenAI or another assistant provider. Their retention policies and your settings apply, and you must use their controls to manage those copies.
10. Data Protection and Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Access tokens for your connected social accounts are stored encrypted rather than in plain text, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, database access is restricted by access controls so that users can only reach their own records, and all traffic to our service is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure; while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
10.1. Breach notification. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator without undue delay and in any event within the timeframes required by applicable law.
11. Your Rights
11.1. You may access and update your personal information at any time by logging into your account.
11.2. You may delete your account by visiting our contact page and selecting "delete my account", which erases the information described in section 9.2.
11.3. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your personal information in a portable format, to have inaccurate information corrected, to object to or request restriction of certain processing, and to withdraw consent you have previously given. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@faceless.video. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for making a request.
11.4. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you believe we have handled your personal information improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
11.5. Revoking YouTube API Access
If you have connected your YouTube account to Faceless.video, you can revoke our access to your YouTube data at any time through the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/. Revoking access will prevent Faceless.video from uploading or managing content on your YouTube channel, but will not delete your Faceless.video account. You can also delete any data we have stored by deleting your Faceless.video account as described above.
To manage or revoke third-party app access to your Google/YouTube account:
1. Visit https://security.google.com/settings/
2. Navigate to "Third-party apps with account access"
3. Find "Faceless.video" in the list
4. Click "Remove Access" to revoke permissions
11.6. Control of ChatGPT and other AI-assistant connections. You can decline the authorisation request or revoke a connection at any time in Faceless.video Settings under "Connected AI assistants" to stop future access through that grant. You can also remove the connection in your assistant. Revoking access does not erase previously shared information, cancel your subscription or pause recurring series you already approved. Pause those series in Faceless.video or through an authorised series-update request.
Creation, rendering and series updates use a quote or preview followed by confirmation. You can decline the proposed action, and social connections require approval in the browser. The plugin cannot change billing, delete your content or disconnect social accounts. Use the website controls for those actions; account deletion and requests to access, export, correct, restrict or delete plugin data are available as described in sections 11.2 and 11.3. Browser cookie settings do not disable the server-side plugin usage and analytics events in section 3.9. To stop future plugin activity, revoke its access; to request deletion or object to analytics processing, contact privacy@faceless.video. Manage past conversations and tool results separately using your assistant provider's privacy controls.
12. California Privacy Rights
12.1. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you specific rights. In the preceding twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (email address, account identifiers, IP address); commercial information (subscription and transaction records); internet or network activity (product usage and device information); geolocation data (approximate location derived from IP address); and your own user content. The sources, purposes and recipients of each are described in sections 3, 4 and 7.
12.2. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months, and we do not sell or share the personal information of minors under 16.
12.3. You have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request its deletion, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Submit a request at privacy@faceless.video. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.
13. Children's Privacy
Faceless.video is a paid service intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service, and the service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that someone under 18 has created an account or provided us with personal information, we will close the account and delete that information. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@faceless.video and we will act promptly.
14. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date, and where the changes are material we will notify account holders by email. Your continued use of Faceless.video after changes to the Privacy Policy signifies your consent to those changes.
15. Contact Us
If you have inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@faceless.video
By using our services, you confirm that you have read and accepted this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please refrain from using our services.
